Cistos odontogênicos são injúrias pouco comum que eles podem ocorrer depois de ~ inflamação da polpa dentária. A abordado terapêutica destes cistos excluir realizada em consultórios odontológicos e, dependendo de seus extensão, ele pode fazer ocasionar a formação de fístula oroantral e rinossinusite crônica. Emprego objetivo deste atuavam é propõe o curar videoendoscópico são de cisto odontogênico alcançar expressão em seio maxilar. Realizou-se um estudo retrospectivo de quatro caso de cistos de origem dentária, com extensão intra-sinusal, complicados com fístula oroantral e sinusite registros de seno maxilar depois de ~ curetagem em consultório odontológico. Utilizamos naquela técnica videoendoscópica acima de transmaxilar para acessarmos o cisto intra-sinusal. Os quatro paciente apresentaram resolução do quadro infeccioso e cicatrização da fístula oroantral, não tem recidiva durante o seguimento. A cirurgia videoendoscópica denominada um método invalides e eficaz para tratamento do cisto odontogênico descrito, podendo contribuem para prevenir naquela formação de fístula oroantral e supuração de público maxilar.

We used ns videoendoscopic technique through transmaxillary technique to access a intra-sinusal cyst. All the four patients gift resolution of a infectious manifestation e healing of a oroantral fistula, without recurrence within dois years of follow-up. Videoendoscopic surgical treatment is naquela safe and effective method ao the monitoring of odontogenic cysts com extension to maxillary sinus, and it might prevent oroantral fistula formation e chronic sinusitis.

SUMMARY

Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct Syndrome is characterized by der widening of the vestibular aqueduct, associated with sensorineural listening loss, or sometimes com mixed listening loss, which might be congenital or acquired during childhood. The sensorineural listening loss may be classified into mild, moderate and severe, associated with sudden durations of innovation or aggravation. Ns enlargement of a vestibular aqueduct is ns most common inner ear anomaly. This syndrome is admitted as naquela result of naquela genetic abnormality of the vestibular aqueduct development, previous to ns fifth a principal of gestation. Ns incidence the this syndrome ranges from 1% to 1.3%, with a possibility of getting up come 7%, escape on ns examined population. The aim of this pesquisar was to analyze three situations of LVAS checked out at a Otorhinolaryngology e Radiology department of Sao Camilo hospital - Sao Paulo. Two of this three instances were of brothers, em ~ the same mother but em ~ different fathers. Two were male e one foi ~ female and the eras ranged from 9 to 30 year old. Ns diagnostic technique of election foi ~ CT - Computerized Tomography of the temporal bones. Ns recommended administration of ns cases was conservative, except para those of cranial trauma, barotrauma and, if necessary, ns use of listening aids.

INTRODUCTION

Odontogenic cysts are lesions that generally rise in a maxilla and/or mandible, originating são de epithelial remains associated with odontogenesis. The most frequent types are: periapical cyst (65%), dentigerous cyst (24%) e primordial or keratocyst (5 a 8%).1,2

The bulk of this cysts ~ ~ managed at dentist"s workplaces using surgical philosophies such as enucleation with usar of Milton"s equipment or combined com cryotherapy, simple enucleation, curettage, marsupialization e tooth extraction.

Intervention the cysts found in a maxillary sinus may result in oroantral fistula formation e chronic rhinosinusitis. This study aims in ~ proposing der videoendoscopic an approach to treat odontogenic cyst com intrasinusal extension as a complementary method of a odontological treatment.

MATERIAL and METHODS

Four situations of dentist cysts com intrasinusal expansion were activate on (Figures 1 e 2). They were outpatients cure by dentists who chose this extraction and transalveolar curettage together alternatives, which led to oroantral fistula (Figure 3) and chronic maxillary sinus suppuration.
